Denark is serving as Construction Manager At-Risk for the new Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) Knoxville campus expansion and renovation project. This transformative initiative includes approximately 110,000 SF of new construction, complemented by the renovation of 12,400 SF of existing campus space, along with comprehensive site development and infrastructure improvements.
The project is designed to support a wide range of technical education programs through purpose-built learning environments. Facilities will include a mix of high-bay and standard laboratory spaces, classrooms, covered storage, and dedicated areas for faculty, staff, and student support. Each laboratory will be thoughtfully designed to replicate real-world work environments, providing students with hands-on experience that directly aligns with industry expectations.
In addition to new and renovated facilities, the project encompasses upgrades to parking, campus circulation, and outdoor spaces, enhancing both functionality and the overall campus experience. Select existing structures will be removed to make way for improved site development, including expanded parking, pedestrian pathways, and green space.
Denark’s responsibility and commitment are clear as they build our second campus project — the new TCAT Knoxville main campus — just as they did with the PSCC/TCAT Ruth & Steve West Workforce Development Center, meeting urgent timelines without compromising quality.”
