Assistant Project Manager

Position Summary:

Provides assistance and technical support to Project Managers and Project Field Superintendents to ensure all related construction activities are performed within accepted practices and standards.

Education:

B.S. in engineering or related construction discipline. If no degree, equivalent experience in management of construction, design, or finance.

Experience:

If degreed, two years of experience; five years if not degreed. Must have proven management insight to maximize employee productivity and performance. Must have complete understanding of industry practices, processes, and standards. Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and technical skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Project Managers on assigned projects.
  • When requested, represent Company in project meetings with clients, engineers, and other construction-related specialists.
  • Analyze, develop, and oversee Construction Progress Schedule.
  • Develop, update, and monitor Procurement/Shop Drawing Schedule.
  • Monitor jobsite Safety Plan and coordinate implementation with jobsite Project Superintendent.
  • Communicate and provide instruction regarding safety, contract, and technical information to subcontracted employees.
  • Maintain PCO/COR Log in Procore (project management software for tracking construction project costs, scope, and schedules.)
